Paprika, a cautionary anime tale where a dream recording device called the DC-Mini is stolen from a psychiatric research facility and the thief causes mayhem by intertwining the patients’ nightmares with the staff’s dreams, helped inspire Nolan’s Inception.

I was just telling someone who kept insisting that Inception was so original with no other influences that they should watch Paprika. But you know, don’t take my word for it.
